FAQ — Frequently asked questions about InfoMind

How does watering control work in the InfoMind system?

Sensors and controllers communicate through MQTT. The web dashboard displays current readings and provides manual pump or watering-device control. If the user does not stop watering, a safety mechanism stops it automatically after 20 seconds.

When does the user receive a notification?

The system sends an email when soil moisture falls below the configured 60% threshold. The dashboard also displays current information and AI agent suggestions.

Can I control watering from my phone?

Yes. The responsive web dashboard works on mobile and desktop devices. You can view readings and switch configured devices on and off.

Which sensors does the system support?

We support soil-moisture, DHT22/AM2302, DS18B20 and liquid-level sensors, among others. The system is modular, so more sensor types can be added.

Is the solution suitable for homes and gardens?

Yes. We use weather-resistant enclosures and power supplies suited to the conditions. Systems can scale from one potted plant to several garden zones.

Does the system work without an internet connection?

The controller can operate on a local network, while remote access to the dashboard and current data requires an internet connection.

What does installation involve?

We set up the hub, such as a Raspberry Pi, install sensors and valves, and configure the application. Installation service is available for nearby customers.

How is data secured?

The dashboard uses HTTPS, and devices connect through an authenticated MQTT broker. Security measures are tailored to the deployment and access model.
